Drain Punch is a physical Fighting type punching move that heals its user by 50% of the damage dealt. While the move has been around for a while, it becomes especially useful in Scarlet and Violet, specifically in Tera Raid Battles. Since Raid Pokémon have massively increased stats, using Drain Punch on them allows your Pokémon to get some good damage in while sustaining itself. Where to Find Drain Punch TM in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet
Drain Punch is TM073 in Scarlet and Violet and can be found in the overworld. Fortunately, it’s in a few different locations. One location where you can find the Drain Punch TM is on a watchtower, specifically the tower south of Artazon and southeast of Mesagoza. If you’ve been there before, you can fast travel to it, and it will be labeled South Province (Area Five) Watchtower. When you reach the tower, simply climb the ladder. You’ll find the Drain Punch TM at the top of the first ladder.

The second location for the Drain Punch TM in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet is on the eastern side of the map. You’ll find it between Zapapico and Levincia. A large river flows between these two locations. The Drain Punch TM can be found on the western edge of the island within this river.

How to Craft Drain Punch TM
You can also obtain the Drain Punch TM using the new crafting system introduced in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet. Once you have obtained the item from either of the locations above, it will be added to your crafting list. Additionally, new TMs get added to your crafting list after beating each Team Star boss. If you haven’t obtained it before, you can get the Drain Punch TM added to your crafting list by defeating Ortega. He specializes in Fairy types. His Pokémon are roughly level 50.
Once you have added the Drain Punch TM to your crafting list, you can craft as many as you need using the TM machine at any of the game’s Pokémon Centers. You will need 8,000 League Points, three Mankey Furs, five Croagunk Poisons, and three Crabrawler Shells for each TM you want to craft.

Mankey is located in South Province (Area Five) and West Province (Area One). You can find Croagunk at Casseroya Lake, South Province (Area Five), and West Province (Area Two). Finally, Crabrawler is found in many locations throughout the game, including Glaseado Mountain, Casseroya Lake, and East Province (Area Two).
