Epic Games might have dropped a clue to tease exactly when Fortnite OG is returning in 2024.

Although Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 1 is well underway, fans are still thinking about Fortnite OG. Epic Games brought their Battle Royale to new heights in November 2023 when they brought back the OG map from Fortnite Chapter 1, along with iconic throwback skins, weapons, and more. Now, even with the release of LEGO Fortnite, Rocket Racing, and Fortnite Festival, everyone just wants to be landing at the POIs that made the game famous.

Fortunately, Chapter 4 was not the last time we will see the OG map in Fortnite.

Yes, Fortnite OG is coming back in 2024. After the unparalleled success of the throwback season, Epic Games announced the OG map will make its way back to the Battle Royale.

“Ngl the OG season far exceeded our expectations,” Epic Games posted on X. “So much so that we’d like to bring it back… *opens 2024 roadmap doc* In the meantime, see you on the Battle Bus.”

The revelation garnered over 260,000 likes and currently sits at 18.1 million views on X. It is safe to say the announcement went over well with the Fortnite community.

Unfortunately, Epic Games has not since provided a more concrete date of when the beloved OG map will return. Instead, they might have planted a clue that points to a release date in 2024.

We predict Fortnite OG will return in May 2024. The Competitor’s Time Brella Glider from Fortnite OG has “May 4, 2024” stamped on it, possibly hinting at the rerelease date of the OG map.

Reddit user, stringggg, posted a screenshot of the Glider to the Fortnite subreddit, inviting the community to speculate on the possible date. The Competitor’s Time Brella also features “June 8, 2068,” which could be a nod to Kado Thorne’s broken time machine that brought the OG map back in the first place.

May 4 is typically reserved for Fortnite’s annual Star Wars crossover, though, so the hint could be pointing at another collaboration on the horizon.

If the clue is a teaser for the next Star Wars x Fortnite crossover or even something else entirely, then it is possible Fortnite OG might not return until September 2024 when Fortnite celebrates its birthday. What better gift could Epic Games give the loyal fanbase than the OG map?
