Receivers Chase Claypool, Kendrick Bourne Both on Trade Block at Deadline

Two more receivers are on the trade block ahead of the post-Week 8 (November 1) trade deadline. The Patriots’ Kendrick Bourne and the Steelers’ Chase Claypool could both be on the move to new teams soon.

Dov Kleiman reported the news that Bourne could be moved on Wednesday.

Claypool was a second round pick in 2020 out of Notre Dame. He still has a year worth of control on the four-year rookie contract that was given to him after being drafted. In 37 total games, Claypool has 144 receptions, 1,958 yards and 12 total touchdowns.

Bourne was signed by the Patriots in March of 2021. He was given a three-year, $15 million contract and is being paid only $3.5 million this season, which makes him an attractive trade target for cash-strapped teams. Since going undrafted in 2017, Bourne has 199 receptions for 2,684 yards and 16 touchdowns.
