Liverpool will end their Austria training camp with a friendly match against national champions Red Bull Salzburg on Wednesday.
While the hosts have already began their new domestic campaign with a 3-0 victory over Austria Vienna, the Reds defeated RB Leipzig 5-0 last time out.
Salzburg have been able to keep hold of a number of their promising chances this summer, but it was a tall order for Matthias Jaissle to keep the whole group together after the continent took notice of their exploits in 2021-22.
After participating in a fourth consecutive league and cup double last season, Salzburg began the defence of their Austrian Cup crown with a 3-0 win over Fugen on July 15 before welcoming Austria Vienna to the Red Bull Arena for round one of the 2022-23 Austria Bundesliga campaign on Friday.

On the other hand, Liverpool only held 1-0 lead at half time against RB Leipzig on Thursday courtesy of Mohamed Salah’s goal, but an exceptional second half from Darwin Nunez saw him get the back of the net four times to round off a 5-0 win for his side.
Following Wednesday’s friendly, the Klopp’s side will take on Manchester City for the Community Sheild on Saturday before hosting Strasbourg at Anfield for their final pre-season match a day later, and the Anfield faithful would stake high to see Nunez replicate his feats in Germay against the Premier League champions.

Salzburg’s centre-back Kamil Piatkowski and midfielder Justin Omoregie are both nursing thigh injuries, while Samson Tijani is recovering from a broken leg and Ousmane Diakate nurses a cruciate ligament rupture.
