sAw renews contract with ENCE: “Next, we want to win a tournament”

Eetu “sAw” Saha has renewed his contract with ENCE, the organization announced on Tuesday.

After overseeing their transition into an international roster in early 2021, the 29-year-old helped the team grow into a consistent contender for top placings at the biggest events, and now he has committed to the organization for another term as he and the rest of the team look towards fulfilling their next goal.

In an interview on ENCE’s YouTube channel, sAw spoke about how the aim has shifted for the squad as they went from a top 10 team to peaking in second place of the HLTV.org ranking on the back of several deep runs this year, including runner-up finishes at ESL Pro League Season 15 and at IEM Dallas.

“Next, we want to win a tournament, which would be a big and important deal. Some high-tier tournament,” the coach shared.

“We have the potential, but maybe we need some more consistency to reach it. I believe it will happen, and we’ll get there, to get that tournament win and challenge even the number one rank consistently.”

There has been no shortage of praise towards sAw from the team in recent months. In Monday’s appearance on HLTV Confirmed, ENCE‘s in-game leader, Snappi, spoke highly of the Finn, describing him as the best coach he has ever had.

“He will challenge me, he will bring some new ideas, and he’ll try to push me to be a better in-game leader,” Snappi said when asked about sAw. “I think, as an in-game leader, I definitely developed the most while being with sAw because he’s giving me a lot of feedback.”

“He’s just a very smart guy, very good at adding rounds that fit me, and if they don’t then we change them together so that I also feel comfortable with it. He’s by far the best coach I’ve ever had, I’m so happy I’m with him.”
