HEET bench Lucky

HEET have removed Lucas “Lucky” Chastang from the active roster, ending his eight-month tenure in the organization. Lucky‘s removal also marks an end to a year-and-a-half with the team, dating all the way back to the DBL PONEY days before the unbacked squad was picked up by HEET.

Lucky‘s time in HEET was not without victories, including a championship run in the online Elisa Invitational Spring and qualifying for ESL Pro League. Lucky and company also peaked inside the top 20 in February 2022, hitting No. 18, and were one match away from reaching the PGL Major in Antwerp, but fell to Astralis at the final hurdle.

Lucky is open to continuing his career in CS or moving to Valorant

“I think we can say that it’s been an incredible and pretty successful grind with the team all things considered,” Lucky wrote in his exit statement. “I’m obviously sad about that decision, but I hope they made the right choice and that they’ll be even more successful.

The Frenchman also added that he is open to new opportunities in CS:GO as well as in Riot’s first-person shooter, Valorant. The move to the second FPS game could prove to be complicated at this time, however, as several organizations that won’t make the cut for the coming franchise league operated by Riot have already started to pull investment.

“Of course, it was a big step and not an easy one, as with this change we were afraid to influence the team spirit that the boys built over the months,” says Jasur “Jazz” Avizov, HEET’s COO. “Benching Lucky is a really tough decision, but one that I think needs to be made at this time.

“Lucky showed good progress and development as a player but for the direction and pace we are going for, we need a change. We are really grateful to Lucky for bringing the team to the level they are at today.”

The 24-year-old’s benching opens up a spot in the roster that is rumored to go to his former G2 teammate Audric “JACKZ” Jug, who would have recently been allowed to explore his options outside of the Berlin-based organization.
