Something for the Weekend – 27/11/21

While the US is still working off their food sweats from Thanksgiving, those of us in the UK are getting to enjoy the first real cold snap of the year. Even down south, we’re going to be dipping below 0ºC – that’s 32ºF, if you’re that way inclined. So make sure to wrap up warm and play as many video games as possible, because having a console or gaming PC on full blast will put out a fair bit of heat!

• Andrewww’s broken wrist is back out of its cast, and that means he can get stuck back into video games. He started Days Gone on PS5 and has found himself hooked on it after a few hours.
• Thinking it would be fun to try Dark Souls 2 from the sales, TSBonyman has spent most of his time just dying a lot.
• hornet1990 tried the Nier: Automata demo and found it merely OK. He then booted up Valkyria Chronicles 2 on the PSP but struggled with the ergonomics, and so turned his attentions to Destiny… on PS3, “which is surprisingly still quite active”. He’s been enjoying it so far, but isn’t sure if he’s in it for the long haul.
• And willbuchanan has been hunting down speed traps in Need for Speed Heat to snag the platinum trophy. He’s already grabbed the platinum in The Pig D – “I’m still not sure what the point of the game was, other than to point out the low wages in Slovakia?”
