On one hand, we have both our hero Sonic, as well as his trusty sidekick Tails. And on the other, we see Dr Robotnik being joined by none other than Knuckles the echidna.
Fans are definitely going to be happy to see both Ben Schwartz and Jim Carrey return as Sonic the Hedgehog and Dr Robotnik respectively, but it is even more likely that Idris Elba’s Knuckles is the biggest draw in Sonic the Hedgehog 2. Colleen O’Shaughnessey’s role as Miles “Tails” Prower is also worth looking out for.
The official synopsis of Sonic the Hedgehog 2 reads as below:
After settling in Green Hills, Sonic is ready for more freedom, and Tom and Maddie agree to leave him home while they go on vacation. But, no sooner are they gone, when Dr. Robotnik comes back, this time with a new partner, Knuckles, in search for an emerald that has the power to both build and destroy civilizations. Sonic teams up with his own sidekick, Tails, and together they embark on a journey to find the emerald before it falls into the wrong hands.
