Soulmask Global Open Beta Beginning May 1

Soulmask Global Open Beta Beginning May 1

A large-scale global playtest for CampFire Studio and Qooland Games’ content-driven open-world sandbox game Soulmask is slated to begin May 1 on Steam.

Set to run until May 10, this limited-time Soulmask open beta will give players the chance to check things out beforehand for free. Compared to the Steam Next Fest demo, additional areas, more prosperous wildlife, and more lively tribesmen will be included.

All those interested can do so via the official Soulmask Steam page when the time gets closer.

To go alongside this news, the team released a new Soulmask gameplay video that shows off its mask system. With it in place, players will be able to synchronize their consciousness with the tribesmen, strengthening their clan and even temporarily possessing the body of any individual one encounters.

Wing, Head of Marketing at Soulmask, said the following:

“We’re overwhelmed with the incredible amount of support and feedback we received from players who joined us for our massive 40-hour demo during Next Fest. Thanks to the invaluable feedback from players, we’ve been able to make some exciting changes, such as making all terrain climbable in the game. Even though our team is made up of veterans with over 10 years of experience working on MMORPGs, this is our first PC title, so we are beyond appreciative for all of the feedback and support from players. By working alongside players throughout the development process, we hope to make Soulmask something entirely new for the genre that players want to keep coming back to again and again.”
