Every Counter-Strike fan around the world was excited to see Danil “donk” Kryshkovets in action on LAN against the best teams in the world. Unfortunately, due to visa issues both donk and Boris “magixx” Vorobiev are not able to attend the BLAST Spring Groups, with the team’s coach Sergey “hally” Shavaev and Spirit Academy’s Oleg “baz” Kulynych playing in their place.

Without their star rifler, Spirit’s chances to go deep in this tournament and qualify for the BLAST Spring Final in London are greatly compromised. Grabbing just a single win while missing two players would be an astounding feat for the Russian-majority roster.

Liquid

The North American organization has decided to go all in and build an international powerhouse of a squad, acquiring established players such as Casper “cadiaN” Moller and Russel “Twistzz” Van Dulken from some of the best teams in the world. Liquid’s potential is sky-high, but it might take time for all the personalities on the team to gel and become a cohesive unit on the server.

Considering the state of their opposition, Liquid will be hoping to overcome Spirit with relative ease and set themselves up for the rest of the tournament. However, no opponent should be underestimated, especially when a player the calibre of Dmitry “sh1ro” Sokolov is on the other side of the server.
