Original (11/15): Chill Season 2023 will kick off in Splatoon 3 on December 1, 2023, Nintendo just announced.

We don’t have all of the details just yet, but some early tidbits were shared. These include the reveal of the Splattercolor Screen weapon and Bluefin Depot stage (returning from the first entry in the series). The news was presented in a new “music video” trailer featuring the Chirpy Chips single.

Update (11/17): Nintendo is starting to go more in-depth with the details. First up is the new King Salmonid for Splatoon 3, who goes by Megalodontia:

Speaking of ocular enhancement, keep your eyes peeled this December for Megalodontia, a new King Salmonid! It’s the largest observed—we estimate its bite radius at 1.4 boats wide. Next up is the Snipewriter 5B with the sub Splash Wall and the special Ink Storm:

Also teased is how the Splattercolor Screen affect vision:

Oh, we haven’t shared our findings on the Splattercolor Screen yet, have we? Well, the schematic we’ve obtained is not conclusive, but it appears to contain ocular monochromatic enhancement tech.
