SpongeBob SquarePants: The Cosmic Shake Promises A F.U.N Time – Droid Gamers

3D Platformers aren’t a genre that’s super well-served on the platform. Fortunately for us, one of the better titles to hit the genre this year is heading to Android soon. SpongeBob SquarePants: The Cosmic Shake is on its way over to our favorite platform, and is available for pre-registration.

The port is coming from HandyGames, who’ve handled the Android versions of Wreckfest and Endling: Extinction Is Forever to name a few.

Dimensional Chaos

Spongebob The Cosmic Shake sees everyone (except Squidward’s) favorite aquatic duo, Spongebob and Patrick get hold of something very powerful. Mermaid tears have the power to grant wishes, and surely the two undersea friends would use this power responsibly. Right?

Of course not. The universe is completely borked and the fabric of reality is coming apart. It’s now up to Spongebob to clean up his mess by journeying through the different Wishworlds to find his friends who were swallowed up by rifts in the universe.

This quest takes you through seven distinct worlds. There’s Wild West, spooky-themed, medieval-themed themed and a prehistoric level complete with SpongeGar.

You won’t stick out too much, with plenty of themed costumes in keeping with the level’s aesthetic. That is, unless you want to stick out.

Explore The Worlds

You explore the wide worlds, complete objectives, and battle enemies. The original voice actors are back to add their talents to the script, so the characters sound a lot like you remember them.

In keeping with the genre, you can pick up new skills that might help you get to new places, or lay the smackdown more effectively against your opponents. You might need the help, as there’s a lot of ground to cover.

Interested? There’s no concrete release date yet, but you can pre-register for SpongeBob SquarePants: The Cosmic Shake now via Google Play so you’ll know precisely when it’s out.
