In this section, we’re going to explain when will PS Plus be announced. With the introduction of new tiers, there’ll be different dates to take into account, depending upon your selected subscription.
PS Plus Essential Monthly Games
Sony always releases the PS Plus Essential Monthly Games on the first Tuesday in the month, so on this occasion it’ll announce the lineup the Wednesday prior, on 29th June, 2022. It typically makes the announcement at 4:30PM BST, but we’ve included a handy guide below to help with your chosen timezone.
- North America: 8:30am PDT / 9:30am MDT / 10:30am CDT / 11:30am EDT
- UK/Ire: 4:30pm BST
- Europe: 5:30pm CEST / 6:30pm EEST
- Asia/Oceania: 12:30am JST / 11:30pm AWST / 1:30am AEST
PS Plus Extra, Premium Game Catalogue
There’ll be new additions to PS Plus Extra and PS Plus Premium in the middle of the month, although we’re yet to witness an announcement cadence from Sony for these. As such, we’re not entirely sure when new Game Catalogue additions will be announced yet. Our guesses, however, are Wednesday, 13th July, 2022 or Monday, 18th July, 2022. We’ll have to wait and see.

PS Plus Essential Monthly Games
The PS Plus Essential Monthly Games are always available on the first Tuesday of the month, so on this occasion that’s Tuesday, 5th July, 2022.
PS Plus Extra, Premium Game Catalogue
We know that Stray will be added day one to PS Plus Extra on Tuesday, 19th July, which is the third Tuesday of the month. Expect more additions on the same date.
PS Plus: What Are July 2022’s Games for PS5, PS4?
One game is confirmed for PS Plus Extra in July 2022, which is anticipated feline-themed detective game Stray on 19th July. This will be available day one for members. No other games have been confirmed right now, although Ridge Racer 2 and Resistance: Retribution are expected to be added as PSP classics for PS Plus Premium members.
It should be noted that Shadow Warrior 3 will leave PS Plus Extra on 5th July, 2022 while Syberia will depart PS Plus Premium on 19th July, 2022.
