Team BDS Academy vs Vitality Bee: LFL 2022 Summer Predictions

Vitality Bee take on BDS Academy in the last round of matches as the LFL summer split winds up the round robin stage. While both teams have done well this season and are granted a playoff spot within the top four, Vitality Bee is arguably the stronger of the two teams and according to the LoL odds they hold the edge, especially considering they won the last encounter between them three weeks ago.

This match promises to be an exciting square off between two of the best teams this split, and the outcome will be closely watched since the two will likely meet again in the playoffs.

Vitality Bee

Vitality Bee have been the team to beat this summer. They’ve always been one of the teams to dominate the round robin, but have never gone on to win the LFL title. They came close this past spring split, but crumbled against Team BDS Academy 3-2 in round 2 of the playoffs. Now they’re up against the same team, and have already beaten them once. Completing a whitewash against them will be akin to the sweetest revenge.

VITB currently stand second on the rankings with 11 wins and 5 losses behind the powerful, and virtually unbeatable LDLC. They’ve taken the lower ranked teams to the cleaners, easily securing double victories over Mirage Elyandra, Team Oplon and Solary. They were pitted against these three teams and Misfits Premier at the start of their tournament, and kicked off on a high with a four-match unbeaten streak.

Over the next couple of weeks VITB were brought back to reality, suffering three defeats in five games at the hands of Gameward, LDLC, and Karmine Corp. Beating Mirage and Solary gave them another stroke of confidence, but across the last three weeks, their performances have been on the patchy side.

They went down to Misfits Premier and Team GO, slipping to two losses in four games against teams they would’ve backed themselves to beat. Still, they’re coming off a win against Karmine Corp, who’d beaten them earlier in the tournament, so the LoL predictions back them to beat BDS.

VITB top the charts with their kill-death ratio high 1.81. They have the most kills per game, 16.9, and least deaths per game as well, just 9.3. With regard to their tower destruction rate, they stand only behind LDLC with 7.6 killed per game. VITB’s creep score is 33.1 and have dealt a DPM of 2314, and in both categories they slot among the top two teams. They’ve been ultra-aggressive from the word go, winding up their games in 31 minutes and 14 seconds which is the lowest average in the league, and drawing first blood 75% of the time.

Team BDS Academy

Team BDS Academy stand fourth on the split rankings, after 9 wins and 7 losses with a win-loss ratio of 56%. It was six weeks into the tournament before that ratio crossed 50%. They had a rough start to their round robin after they lost to LDLC and embarrassingly enough Mirage Elyandra, which was only one of only two wins the latter would be able to manage all season.

Following that, they were found wanting against Karmine Corp, Gameward, Misfits Premier and of course Vitality Bee. But after week five, they reassembled and came surging back into the league as a ringing reminder to the rest that they’re still very much competitors. Now BDS are on a six-match winning streak and look nigh on unstoppable.

They’ve peaked at exactly the right time in the tournament, and will be rearing to go against VITB, who’d beaten them during their beleaguered first half. In their last two games BDS have convincingly defeated Gameward and Misfits Premier, and have been on a roll since their resurgence after week 5.

Though Vitality Bee do hold the edge in this contest, it’s a close call to make. BDS have clawed their way back to the tournament after languishing in the bottom half of the table for the first half, and they’ve proved they’re ready to put up a hell of a fight. Putting an end to this winning streak isn’t going to be an easy task for anyone, and VITB would be foolish to underestimate their scrappy opponents for even a second. If you’re indulging in some League of Legends betting on this game, remember that this is going to be a closer contest than the odds indicate.

Team BDS Academy vs Vitality Bee

BDS have been slow starters, and interestingly enough, they have a higher rate of deaths than they do kills – a ratio of 0.86, surprising for a team that has won 56% of their games. Currently the number of their kills and deaths per game stands at 12.4 and 14.6 respectively.

The same topsy-turvy scenario applies to their towers, of which they’ve destroyed 12.4 but lost 12.9 per game. BDS have drawn out their games for an average 34 minutes and 56 seconds, the most of any team, and have opted for a more cautious approach, drawing first blood only 35% of the time. These are issues that Vitality Bee can exploit, which is why we are backing them to win.
