You can use various different strategies to kill enemy heroes in your matches. A majority of these strategies involve using heroes with abilities and items that can be used to disable enemies throughout the game. Disabling enemy heroes can cancel their channeling, prevent them from escaping, and disarm them for a few seconds, giving your allies a chance to strike back at the enemy team to win battles.

Here are the top heroes that you can choose during your matches to disable enemy heroes in the new update.

Bane

Bane is a Universal hero with a base mana pool of 351. He can cast his spells on enemy heroes to disable them throughout his matches. Bane can put his enemies to sleep by using Nightmare. Enemy units affected by Nightmare are disabled for up to 6.5 seconds. Nightmare has a cooldown of 15 seconds and needs 150 mana to be used per cast.

He can absorb up to 300 health of his enemies by using Brain Sap in battles. Brain Sap has a cooldown of 11 seconds and deals Pure damage to his opponents. You can reduce the cooldown of Brain Sap by 2 seconds at level 10. Bane can use Brain Sap frequently in his lane to drain the health of his enemies.

The support hero can cast his ulti, Fiend’s Grip, to hold enemy heroes in place for up to 5.8 seconds. Enemies disabled by Fiend’s Grip will be unable to attack, cast spells, or move from their position for the duration of the spell. Fiend’s Grip deals 150 Pure damage per second (DPS) and has a cooldown of 100 seconds. You can increase the duration of Fiend’s Grip by 3 seconds at level 25.

You can purchase a Glimmer Cape for 2150 gold in the game. Bane can increase his magic resistance by 25% after purchasing a Glimmer Cape. He can turn invisible for 5 seconds using Glimmer Cape to prevent taking damage from incoming attacks while channeling his ulti. Bane also gains 300 damage barrier by using Glimmer Cape in battles.

Enigma is a highly effective disabler in Dota 2. He can deal damage to enemies in a large radius by casting his spells in lanes. Enigma gains up to 3.6 Intelligence per level. Enigma can stun enemies using Malefice to harass enemy heroes on the New Frontiers map. Malefice deals 100 damage per instance and can stun enemies 3 times in a row.

You can buy a Blink Dagger for Enigma to initiate team fights with the Intelligence hero. He can blink into battles and cast Midnight Pulse to deal 11% of the enemy units’ current health as damage for 12 seconds. Midnight Pulse affects all enemies in a radius of 550. Once you’ve used Midnight Pulse, you can cast Enigma’s ulti, Black Hole, to disable multiple enemies in a radius of 420. Enigma can channel his ulti for 4 seconds, dealing 200 Pure DPS to his opponents.

He can purchase a Veil of Discord to amplify the damage dealt by his spells. Enigma can use Veil of Discord to cast Magic Weakness to increase magical damage from spells by 18% for 16 seconds.

Lion

Lion is a ranged hero with multiple spells that can be used to disable his foes. He can stun enemies in front of him using Earth Spike for up to 2.2 seconds to deal 300 damage. Earth Spike has a cooldown of 11 seconds and requires 150 mana.

People can max out Hex while playing Lion to disable an enemy hero for 3.2 seconds. Enemy units will be turned into critters for the duration of the spell. Lion and his allies can decimate enemies targeted by Hex to increase their gold in the game. He can use Hex on enemies in a radius of 250 by reaching level 25 through
the Talent Tree.

Lion can drain the mana of his enemies after disabling them using Mana Drain. He can absorb up to 120 mana per second for 5 seconds using Mana Drain to deplete the mana pool of his enemies. You can upgrade Mana Drain by buying an Aghanim’s Shard to cast his ability on an additional 2 enemy heroes.

You can weaken enemy heroes in Dota 2 matches by casting Finger of Death. Lion’s ulti, Finger of Death, can deal over 800 damage to enemies per cast. Every kill he gets with Finger of Death adds an additional 40 damage per kill, making his ulti an amazing ability to use against carry heroes. Finger of Death has a cooldown of 40 seconds. He can reduce the cooldown of his ulti to 20 seconds by purchasing an Aghanim’s Scepter.

Faceless Void can walk in and out of battles using Time Walk. He can move up to a distance of 800 using Time Walk to prevent taking damage from incoming attacks and spells from the enemy team. Time Walk allows Faceless Void to backtrack any damage he has taken in the last 2 seconds, making it crucial to his survival early in his matches.

You can max out Time Lock for Faceless Void to gain a 24% chance to stun enemies with each attack. Enemy units stunned by Faceless Void take up to 30 bonus damage per hit. You can increase the bonus damage dealt by Time Lock to 100 at level 20.

Faceless Void can hunt for heroes to kill using his ulti, Chronosphere. The Agility hero can disable enemy units within a Chronosphere for up to 4.8 seconds. Chronosphere affects all enemies in a radius of 500. You can increase the radius of his ulti by 140 at level 25 to disable more enemies using Chronosphere.

The carry hero can buy items like a Mjollnir to gain 70 attack speed and 25 attack damage. Physical attacks from Faceless Void have a 30% chance to deal a bonus damage of 180 per hit. You can also buy a Daedalus to increase the attack damage of Faceless Void by 88. He can deal critical damage to his enemies disabled by Chronosphere by purchasing a Daedalus in battles to wipe out the enemy team within seconds.

Shadow Shaman

Shadow Shaman can nuke enemy heroes with his spells to mitigate his opponents. He has a base mana pool of 375 and gains up to 3.5 Intelligence per level. You can cast Ether Shock with Shadow Shaman to deal 320 damage to over 8 enemies at once. Shadow Shaman can strike neutral creep camps stacked in the jungle with Ether Shock to destroy them.

He can cast Hex to disable enemy heroes for 2.8 seconds. Hex has a cooldown of 12 seconds. You can reduce the cooldown of Hex by 2 seconds at level 10. Shadow Shaman can also apply a break to prevent enemy heroes from triggering their passive abilities for the duration of Hex at level 20 through the Talent Tree. Hex consumes 200 mana to be used per cast. You can purchase an Arcane Boots to increase the mana pool of Shadow Shaman, letting him cast more of his spells in battles without running out of mana.

Shadow Shaman can cast Shackles on his enemies to prevent them from attacking or casting spells for 4.2 seconds. Enemy units affected by Shackles will be rooted in their place for the duration of the spell. You can cast his ulti, Mass Serpent Ward, to deal 120 attack damage per hit. Mass Serpent Wards summons up to 10 serpents around enemy heroes that last for 45 seconds. Once enemy heroes are killed by Mass Serpent Wards, Shadow Shaman can push different lanes
with his ulti.
