The first phase of Season of Discovery was a massive hit among players. And with the latest launch of WoW Classic’s newest phase – Season of Discovery Phase 2 – players are excited to see everything new the MMORPG has to offer. One of the new additions to the game is the inclusion of the Cozy Sleeping Bag, an item that provides the user with a permanent Experience buff, similar to Rested Experience. So, in this article, we will provide you with the definitive Experience Buff Sleeping Bag guide, regardless of whether you are an Alliance player or a Horde player.

How to Start the Quest?

Blizzard unveiled the Cozy Sleeping Bag on X just before the launch of Season of Discovery Phase 2. When players got wind of this new item, everyone knew how handy it would be for the upcoming raids in the game. In case you missed it, here’s how to start the quest for getting the Cozy Sleeping Bag:

For Alliance Players

First, you will need to travel to Westfall. Then you will need to make your way towards Alexston Farmstead (at 37, 50). There you will find the wreckage of a cart and in the rubbles, you will find Burned-Out Remains. Click on it to interact with it and start the “…and that note you found” quest.

You will then need to travel to the Barrens and follow the road south of Camp Taurajo (at 46, 74). You will come across a burnt tower underneath which you will find another Burned-Out Remains. Interacting with it will allow you to complete the “…and that note you found” quest and start a new one called “Stepping Stones.”

For Horde Players

If you are playing as the Horde, then you will need to follow the exact same steps as an Alliance player, but in reverse. Travel to the Barrens and head south from Camp Taurajo (at 46, 74). Underneath the burnt tower, you will find Burned-Out Remains. Click on it to start the “…and that note you found” quest. 

Then go to Westfall and find the Alexston Farmstead (at 37, 50). You will see the wreckage of a cart and another Burned-Out Remains. Interact with to complete the “…and that note you found” quest. When you’re done, you will be prompted with another quest titled “Stepping Stones.”

How to Get the Experience Buff Sleeping Bag?

Now that you are done with the prerequisites for the Cozy Sleeping Bag, follow this step-by-step guide:

Step 1

Make your way to the Stonetalon Mountains. You will need to first locate the path northeast of Sun Rock Retreat (at 50.9, 52.3). Continue down the path until you see an abandoned camp (at 40.6, 52.4). There you will find Pocket Litter on top of a box. Click on it to complete the “Stepping Stones” quest and accept the next one called “Scramble.”

Before you leave, you can also click on the campfire to start the “Rekindle” quest. To complete it, you will need ‘Simple Wood’ and ‘Flint and Tinder’, which you should already have as a reward for completing the last quest.

From the abandoned campsite, head north up the hill. You will soon come across an edge where you will need to jump to the other side. You will find a Mound of Dirt. Interact with it to complete the “Scramble” quest and accept the next one – “Wet Job.”

Now it is time for you to make your way towards Loch Modan. Once you have reached the area, find the Loch Modan Dam (at 49.4, 12.9). You will then need to jump on one of the carved heads. There you find an Eagle Figurine. Interact with it to complete the “Wet Job” quest and start the “Eagle’s Fist” quest.

For the last step, navigate your way to the Thoradin Wall, on the border of the Arathi Highlands and Hillsbrad Foothills. You will see a cart on the Hillsbrad side of the wall (at 87.3, 49.6). Climb on top of it to enter the Thoradin Wall. 

As you make your way forward, you will find yourself in front of a room with a Messenger Bag hanging outside to the right with a note on it. Click the bag to complete the “Eagle’s Fist” quest and accept the last quest, “This Must Be The Place.” Underneath the bag, you will see a Hastily Rolled-Up Satchel. Click it to complete the last quest and receive the Cozy Sleeping Bag.

How to Use the Cozy Sleeping Bag?

If you have followed the guide so far, then you are now in possession of the Cozy Sleeping Bag. Keep in mind that it is a Level 40 item. To use it, go outside and open your inventory. Click on the Cozy Sleeping Bag and it will be laid out before you. 

You don’t need to click or interact with it. Just walk on top of it and wait for a few seconds to fall asleep. For each minute you spend sleeping, you gain 1% increased Experience gained. You can sleep for a maximum of 3 minutes to gain a total of 3% increased Experience.
