Unreleased Football Skin Appears in Warzone Season 4

It appears that some players have leaked upcoming skins coming soon to Call of Duty: Warzone.

The leak seems to have been caught by Reddit user Thehumantrypod, as they created a post in the CODWarzone subreddit “My son just ran into this American football skin.” The post shows a player wearing a currently unreleased skin that resembles a generic football uniform.

This isn’t the first instance of Warzone having upcoming skins leaked early, as the Scream Ghostface skin was leaked in October 2021. The difference, though, is that only the model of the Ghostface skin was leaked, as opposed to cheaters being able to play with the skin early before everyone else.

With the introduction of a football skin in Warzone, it’s unclear whether Activision Blizzard will be partnering with the NFL to potentially feature real team and player names and logos. The Reddit post featuring the leak shows a generic football uniform, but that could be a placeholder since the skin wasn’t meant to be shown yet.

The NFL isn’t unfamiliar with video game collaborations. On top of the annual Madden series, the NFL has previously partnered with Fortnite on skins as well as events featuring NFL players playing Fortnite. At this time, no partnership between Activision Blizzard and the NFL has been confirmed.
