Valorant Agent Guide: How to Play Brimstone on Bind

Here is how to play Brimstone on Bind to secure victories in your ranked games

Brimstone is the most-played Controller Agent on Bind, as having three smokes ready for fast deployment is highly beneficial on this map.

In this guide, we will go down the basics of using your utilities as Brimstone to help your team take and control areas on Bind. You will learn which areas to smoke, where to use your molly and how to secure rounds on defense. Let’s get started –

How to Play Brimstone on Bind: Attack

Although attacking on Bind may seem more straightforward since there is no mid, it is one of the most defender-sided maps in Valorant. Therefore, you will have to be cautious about where to use your smokes. Moreover, since Brimstone’s Sky Smokes (E) do not recharge over time, it’s essential to only deploy them when it’s necessary.

A Site

If your team decides to push A Short, you could smoke the top of the truck and between the truck and triple like this:

These smokes block vision from the A Tower and backsite. The top truck smoke has an advantage over heaven smoke, as the opponents can’t get a cheeky angle to peek from Tower.

If you are pushing from A Bath, then the top truck smoke won’t be beneficial at all. In this case, smoke A Tower and Defender Spawn like this:

You will still have to hold A Tower in case an enemy pushes through the smoke. Moreover, ensure that the smokes are tucked in and don’t allow enemies to lurk out beside them.

One of the most common spots for the defenders to peek from is front Lamps/U-Hall. As a result, you could smoke it like this for early map control and denying information:

B Site

The bread and butter of attacking B site is smoking Defender Spawn and Elbow:

If your team has pushed from both B Hookah (B Window on the map) and Long, you could save your third smoke to either block Elbow or Spawn. Moreover, the third smoke can be beneficial to block Hookah or B Long in case there is someone flanking.

If your team is avoiding Hookah and only taking B Long, then you could use all three of your smoke to block Spawn, Elbow and Hookah when you enter the site like this:

Similarly, block out B Long if you are only going to Hookah.

How to Play Brimstone on Bind: Defense

Brimstone’s smokes are not global like Omen or Astra. Therefore, on defense, you will have to play in spots where you can smoke both A and B, depending on where the enemies are seen.

Positioning

On A, you can play around A Lamps to smoke B Window:

Similarly, you can play around the cubby on B site to smoke A Short.

Sometimes, you will have to go to spawn to smoke A Bath from B or B Long from A.

Early Map Control Smokes

Taking early map control means denying the enemies information or making it hard for them to push into an area. Brimstone’s smoke can block vision and make it hard for opponents to go through chokepoints without using any utility. Therefore, you could use the following early map control smokes:

  1. A Short

Defensive Smokes

When the opponents are trying to push a site, you can deploy defensive smokes like these to stall them and even get kills:

  1. A Short One-Way

This one-way smoke sits on the A Short box. It’s better than the regular A Short smoke, as the opponents can’t jump up the box to see the site:

Spam Kill Smoke on A

This smoke is excellent when your team has A Bath control, and the enemies have taken A Short and are trying to plant the Spike. You can easily get spam kills by deploying this smoke and shooting through it.
