Virtus.pro sign top aimer from CIS

Virtus.pro failed to replicate their form from the Major in Brazil prompting the community to call their victory a fluke. Since that victory, VP failed to make any deep runs in the several tournaments they played over the year and now they find themselves bringing additional firepower in Nikolay ‘mir’ Bityukov to help with the team.

On July 5, the Russian organization announced mir’s inclusion, emphasizing his in-game role and personal skill as crucial factors in finalizing the deal. VP are confident in mir’s experience and believes that he will fully unleash his potential within the CIS roster.

“In addition, he immediately found a common language with his teammates. Nikolay is a very experienced player, and the coaching staff and I are confident that he will be able to play his best game and realize his full potential with Virtus.pro.

“We planned to announce mir’s arrival a bit later, but David’s injury forced us to speed up. The more interesting for the audience will be the clash in Argentina.” said the CEO of VP.

mir is scheduled to make his debut in a CSGO match for Virtus Pro against 9z at the FiReLEAGUE Battle 2023 event in Buenos Aires replacing David “n0rb3r7” Danielyan from the team after signing a long-term contract.

Virtus.pro lineup

  • Russia Dzhami “Jame” Ali
  • Kazakhstan Alexey “Qikert” Golubev
  • Russia Evgenii “FL1T” Lebedev
  • Russia Petr “fame” Bolyshev
  • Russia David “n0rb3r7” Danielyan
  • Russia Nikolay “mir” Bityukov
  • Kazakhstan Dastan “dastan” Akbayev (coach)

During his time with Team Spirit, mir established himself as one of the most mechanically gifted players who could easily find a place in the likes of NAVI however rumours at the time pointed towards toxic traits that did not let him continue in teams for a prolonged period.

Moving away from a mid-table team to a top one with players having more accolades might see him unleash his best and become the player that we all know he can be.
