As mentioned earlier, the HYDRA vs Virtus.Pro match will be a lot more interesting than some people think, mainly because of the squad’s most recent results. Both are in a weird spot right now because they are stuck between the top 3 and the bottom 2. Although it doesn’t seem like they’ll be relegated or receive a Major slot, everything is possible.

Virtus.Pro

Since the massive roster change from a few years ago, VP is doing everything possible to bounce back and become one of the best in Eastern Europe. However, it seems like the team is still not there, at least judging from its most recent performance.

So far, VP started with a loss against HR, followed by a win versus DS and OneMove. Unfortunately, the squad wasn’t able to defeat BetBoom Team and has another clash ahead in the face of Team Spirit.

HYDRA

There is no arguing that HYDRA is one of the best-performing teams from Division II in the 2023 DPC Tour 2. Despite being the newcomers in Division I, the squad defeated DS and Na’Vi in Week 1. However, it wasn’t able to deal with Team Spirit, HR and BetBoom Team.

The good news is that HYDRA performed better than expected in each of its 3 losses. This puts them in a really good position before the Virtus.Pro vs HYDRA match will take place just a few days from now.

Virtus.Pro vs HYDRA Predictions

After carefully analyzing both teams’ most recent results and overall performance, we expected HYDRA to succeed. The team is just playing better on the current Dota 2 patch, so we think it will be victorious.

Total Maps

As we can see from both teams’ matches, those closer almost always give us access to 3 full games. Consequently, we expect the Virtus.Pro vs HYDRA match to allow us to watch 3 games.

Map Duration

When it comes down to how long a given map will last, we wouldn’t be surprised if the average time is more than 50 minutes. Even though HYDRA is the favorite, VP will not go down without a fight. Hence, we expect more extended and more interesting matches.

Total Towers

If the match turns out to be a 3-series brawl where each game is over 50 minutes, we expect to see more than 20 towers per game. However, this number will only be accurate if the series doesn’t end faster.

Total Kills

Although there are some exceptions, most long Dota 2 games give us access to loads of kills. This is especially true in Eastern Europe, so we think there will be more than 50 kills per game.

Player With Most Kills

Regarding the player who will secure the most kills, we think this honor should go to dream’ or Worick. Both players are really good and have helped HYDRA a lot in the last couple of matches.
