What are we playing this week? (25/3/2024) | GosuGamers

There’s more to watch than play this week, but we’re pretty busy with Dragon’s Dogma 2 anyway.

The final week of March has arrived, and it’s pretty empty as far as new game releases go. That might not matter to most RPG fans out there, however, as they’re likely busy wrapping up either Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth, Dragon’s Dogma 2 or Rise of the Ronin – take your pick! If you’re looking for something new to watch, there’s plenty on this week.

If you’re into slow-burn mystery games like What Remains of Edith Finch, it might be worth keeping an eye on Open Roads when it launches on March 28. This interactive mystery-thriller follows Tess Devine and her mother Opal, who both discover a cache of old notes that hint at long-buried family secrets. The duo embark on a road trip to unearth the secrets of their past – but they might not like what they find. Keri Russell (The Americans) and Kaitlyn Dever (Booksmart, The Last of Us) star.

In the land of TV, we’re finally getting an adaptation of Amor Towles’ acclaimed book A Gentleman in Moscow on March 29. This series follows an aristocrat named Count Alexander Ilyich Rostov, who returns to Russia from Paris only to be sentenced to house arrest and banished to a small hotel room, where he must live out the rest of his days. Ewan McGregor and Mary Elizabeth Winstead star in the series, which will hopefully do a book I quite liked some justice.

Stomping into movie theatres this week is a very reluctant kaiju duo in Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire. The movie hits theatres on March 27 internationally, with a plot revolving around King Kong and Godzilla having to team up when a new world-ending kaiju threat surfaces. Concerning the two nearly beating each other to death the last time they met up, one wonders how they’re going to get along in this one. Getting along might be optional in a kaiju apocalypse, admittedly.
