A short while ago, RSG Malaysia announced that they had entered into a collaboration with Slate Esports – rebranding the team to RSG Slate MY. When this announcement came, there was no follow-up with a roster, until now, where the team have confirmed the players which will be a part of this squad for the upcoming MPL MY Season 11. While the team does remain mostly unchanged at its core, there are some interesting additions, as well as role changes to the roster.

First and foremost, the region will see the return of Muhammad “RIPPO” Arif, who left MY behind back in 2020 to pursue Mobile Legends: Bang Bang in Indonesia, and played alongside Bigetron Alpha until the end of 2022. At its core, the team still remains strong, with Lolealz, Leixia, and LinkEzaa all remaining in the roster – but with Leixia now seemingly switching to the roaming role. Another strong addition to the RSG roster is Zaed, previously the jungle role player for RED Esports MY, who have yet to announce their roster for the coming season.

The full RSG Slate MY roster for Season 11 is:

  • Iris
  • Rippo
  • Izanami
  • Leixia
  • Lolealz
  • LinkEzaa
  • Zaed
  • Chr1sphobia

The inclusion of Chr1sphobia adds another dynamic player with ID experience into the MY squad, which could prove extremely valuable throughout the season – while they also confirmed that EgM would be joining as an analyst, also hailing from Indonesia. Whether or not RSG Slate MY can utilise their rebranding, as well as the inclusion of multiple ID players to bounce back into the top echelons of MPL MY remains to be seen – but with the season just around the corner, we will soon find out.
