Things are getting spooky in Pokemon GO, and this year’s Halloween event is shaping to be the biggest one yet. Players of all levels can find something to do this season, whether they’re capturing or battling.

First things players can take part of this Halloween are the event variants of Pokemon found in the wild. In this event, Pikachu, Piplup, and Drifblim are wearing spooky accessories and are commonly appearing in the wild. In addition to these Pokemon appearing more frequently, encounter rates for select Ghost-types have been greatly increased.

There are also a few Special Research Quests occurring during this time. There’s the overarching “Season of Mischief” event that’s set to last until the end of the Fall season, but there are other small-scale quests such as “What Lies Beneath the Mask?” and the current Pumpkaboo quest.

For players who want a challenge, Pokemon raids have also been rotated, and who else better fits the role of Halloween raid boss than Darkrai? Alongside Darkrai, Mega Absol will helm the Mega Raids, and these two powerful Dark-types can make even the strongest of trainers shiver in fear.

There’s lots to do this Halloween in Pokemon GO, and players are encouraged to partake in them before Halloween ends on Nov. 1.
