After suffering a delay the Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League release has been set in stone yet again. Along with it a tribute to the late Kevin Conroy. Here’s the latest info on the title before it drops on May 26, 2023.
The Trailer
The trailer opens with the Suicide Squad carrying a badly injured The Flash. As the team settles when a police officer runs in screaming for help. the officer is soon silenced when a silhouette of Batman swoops down and takes them into the shadows. It’s soon revealed that Batman isn’t really Batman when it’s ultimately revealed that he has broken his number one rule of no killing.
Voicing Batman
The trailer ends with a tribute to Kevin Conroy, with a message that said “Thank You, Kevin”. It was confirmed that Kevin Conroy will be voicing Batman for one last time in Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League. Conroy has voiced Batman in a plethora of Rocksteady’s Arkham games and in the Batman 1990s Animated Series. Kevin Conroy sadly passed away on November 10 after a battle with cancer.
The Story
Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League is no stranger when it comes to delays but its story remains the same. Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League will let players control either four characters. Harley Quinn, King Shark, Deadshot, and Captain Boomerang. The villain Brainiac is the antagonist this time around. Brainiac has infected and gained control of the members of the Justice League. If it follows the comics or films gamers can assume that Amanda Waller, is forcing the suicide squad to do her dirty work. That dirty work is to subdue the corrupted Justice League.
