NFL Draft Prospects in the 2022 Camellia Bowl

The bowl season gives fans and scouts alike a chance to analyze NFL Draft prospects against solid competition. Bowl scheduling allows all eyes to be on each game. Here are the NFL Draft prospects in the 2022 Camellia Bowl.

Georgia Southern Eagles Draft Prospects

Jalen White, RB

White has been at Georgia Southern for three seasons and has improved each season. He has 1,384 rushing yards and 14 touchdowns in his career. This season, he has 915 rushing yards and 10 touchdowns on the ground. He has added a receiving element to his game this season with 22 receptions for 217 yards and one touchdown.

At 6-foot and 215 pounds, White has a solid build for an NFL running back. His improvements as a pass-catcher really helps his draft stock. He still has more eligibility remaining though and may return to school to continue adding to his game to increase his stock.

Projected Draft Range: Sixth Round Pick-Undrafted Free Agent

Khaleb Hood, WR

Hood is in his fourth season with the Eagles and has had to change positions with a new scheme coming in this season. Over his career, he has 143 catches for 1,708 yards and five touchdowns. This season he has played his best yet with 79 catches for 889 yards and three touchdowns.

At 5-foot-10 and 175 pounds, he will fall below the average for players at the receiver position in the NFL. He may have to move into the slot and/or add some muscle to his body. He has fit in well with the pass-happy offense at Georgia Southern, which does help his stock.

Projected Draft Range: Undrafted Free Agent

Buffalo Bulls Draft prospects

James Patterson, LB

Patterson has been a productive players for the Bulls over his five seasons with the team, but has really upped his game the last two seasons. He has 406 total tackles, 38.5 tackles for loss and eight sacks in his career. This season, Patterson has 112 total tackles, 11 tackles for loss and 1.5 sacks.

While he is just 6-foot, he does have a good build for his size at 230 pounds. He has a nose for the football and is a good tackler. His experience has helped increase his football IQ. His coverage may fall short of NFL standards.

Projected Draft Range: Sixth Round Pick-Undrafted Free Agent

Marcus Fuqua, S

Fuqua is a fourth-year junior with the Bulls and has been playing a lot for the last two seasons. He has 129 total tackles, eight interceptions and eight passes defended in his career. In 2022, Fuqua has 60 total tackles, seven interceptions and five passes defended.

He has ok size for a safety at 6-foot and 200 pounds. Fuqua’s ball skills showed huge improvements this season and that is seen in his production. With eligibility remaining, Fuqua may return to school to try to improve his stock.

Projected Draft Range: Undrafted Free Agent
