What to watch this week; Elite League Edition Part II | GosuGamers

What should you be watching in the Dota 2 scene this week? Elite League continues through this week the Round-Robin Stage followed by the playoffs.

For over a week the Dota 2 action has been overflowing with competition in the Elite League. First with the lesser-used Swiss Stage format, dwindling 16 teams down to eight – then with the more traditional Round Robin Stage.

Nigma Galaxy made an early exit from the Swiss Stage at the hands of Team Secret.

Speaking of Team Secret… they didn’t last much longer. Clement ‘Puppey‘ Ivanov and crew fell short in the end and were not able to advance to the Round Robin Stage.

The Round Robin Stage is already halfway over with three days played. This means that action is surely heating up as the picture for playoffs starts to come into clear focus. No teams are out just yet, but some such as Team Spirit and Blacklist International are definitely staring down some trouble.

Things will wrap up in the groups on April 10th. The remaining teams will take a one-day break to prepare for the playoffs which are set to begin on April 11th.

The entire event will come to an end on Sunday, April 14th, crowing the championship team and awarding the lion’s share of the $960,000 prize pool.
