When Does Apex Legends Season 17 Start? Season 16 End Date

Apex Legends‘ is gearing up for the start of Season 17, but when is it set to start? And when does Season 16 end?

Respawn has been keeping Apex fresh lately, thanks to the many changes that made their way into the game during Season 16. The most notable being updates to the Legend Class system. Aside from categorizing each Legend into one of five classes (Assault, Recon, Skirmisher, Controller and Support), Legends received some overhaul work in order to better fit them into the new classes.

This had the surprising result of boosting a number of underused Legends through the pick rates. Both Crypto and Catalyst each saw an increase in popularity thanks to their class updates. Additionally, Apex has continued to smash its own records during the season, having reached its all-time player count peak.

Respawn broke away from tradition in order to achieve these successes, making the decision to not introduce a new Legend with the launch of a new season — the first time since the game’s release.

With so much having changed across Season 16 Revelry, fans are now looking ahead to what Season 17 could hold. But the most important question is: when does Season 17 begin?

Apex Legends Season 17 is set to start on Tuesday, May 9, 2023. This marks roughly three months since the launch of Season 16 Revelry, which begain on Feb. 14, 2023.

So far, Respawn has yet to officially confirm what players can expect from the upcoming season. Fans are hoping to see a return to form, with the addition of a brand new Legends joining the Apex games.

Leaks have suggested that this could be the case, with signs pointing towards a character from Titanfall’s past. But, until Respawn makes any official announcements, all rumors are just that.
