When Does Apex Legends x FF7 Rebirth Event End?

After weeks of battling Nessies, fans are wondering when the Apex Legends x FF7 Rebirth event ends.

Respawn Entertainment and Square Enix partnered to bring an epic Apex Legends and Final Fantasy VII: Rebirth crossover to the Battle Royale to kick off 2024. From Final Fantasy-inspired skins to new Materia hop-ups, the collaboration introduced must-see additions both in-game and to the store. The event even released a limited-time Buster Sword Heirloom, modeled after Cloud Strife’s well-known weapon.

So, how much longer do fans have to enjoy the collaboration before it leaves Apex Legends?

The Apex Legends x FF7 Rebirth event ends on Tuesday, Jan. 30, 2024. After three weeks, the crossover will leave Apex Legends, taking its BR Takeover and limited-time cosmetics with it.

Those who have still not gotten the Buster Sword Heirloom from an Event Pack only have four days (at the time of writing) to get their hands on the universal Heirloom. The developers confirmed the Mythic melee will not be coming to the Mythic Shop, so this is your last chance to secure the Buster Sword R5.

FF7 Rebirth comes out on Thursday, Feb. 29, 2024, just one month after the end of the Apex Legends x FF7 Rebirth event. The title is a PlayStation 5 exclusive on release day, and will likely not be released on other platforms for at least a month.

Apex Legends Season 19 ends on Tuesday, Feb. 13, 2024. Apex Legends: Ignite will be replaced by Apex Legends Season 20 on the same day, marking a fresh start for the Battle Royale.

Although still so much is unknown about Season 20, there have been leaks that suggest a Lifeline Prestige skin is coming to the game, as well as a new map, titled District. Of course, a new Legend could also be on the way, but without official word from Respawn Entertainment, fans will have to wait a few weeks before they see what Apex Legends Season 20 has in store.
