WR Laviska Shenault Traded to Carolina Panthers

The Carolina Panthers have added a new weapon via trade. Jacksonville is trading Laviska Shenault to the Panthers for an as-of-yet undisclosed trade package. He was originally a second round pick, but likely did not garner one as a trade chip.

The NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport reported the news via Twitter on Monday.

As stated above, Shenault was originally the Jaguars’ second round pick in the 2020 NFL Draft, 42nd overall. He has played both years of his career there. In 2021, Trevor Lawrence targeted Shenault and Laquon Treadwell 25 percent of the time.

In his two NFL seasons, Shenault has played in 30 games (22 starts), grabbing 121 receptions for 1,219 yards and five receiving touchdowns. All five of those touchdowns came in his rookie seasons, but he had 19 more yards in 2021.
