Xbox Cloud Gaming now available on Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S consoles

We’re big fans of Xbox Cloud Gaming, if only as it’s a cinch to fire up our mobile phones, attach it to something like Razer’s Kishi or GAMESIR’s X-2, and play on the go. With Xbox Game Pass as a service full of great games, many of which are touch-control compatible, there’s really no reason to not be playing an Xbox title. And with the latest update to Cloud Gaming, allowing you the chance to play through your Xbox One or Xbox Series X|S console, the excuses stop right there.

Rolling out today in no less than 25 regions (with that of Brazil to follow), Xbox Cloud Gaming (in Beta form remember) is now available on Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S machines.

You’ll need a valid Xbox Game Pass Ultimate subscription, but from there you’re pretty much good to go, being able to play Xbox Game Pass titles without the need of an install. Of course, should you then decide it’s a game for you, whacking in a download and playing it natively from your machine is doable.

But if that already sounds great, if you’re an Xbox One owner, it’s better still. You see, thanks to Cloud Gaming you’ll be able to play the likes of The Medium and the recently released The Riftbreaker (Xbox Series X|S exclusive titles) on your older machine. There’s promise of Microsoft Flight Simulator being used in the same way in early 2022 too.

We can’t see a downside to the roll out of Cloud Gaming on Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S consoles, and if anything, it just makes the whole Xbox eco-system, Xbox Game Pass and the brilliance of Cloud Gaming all the more enticing.

Let us know what games you’ll be playing first via Cloud Gaming on your Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S consoles. And remind us why we spent a small fortune upgrading to Gen 9…

Confirmation of how this all works is shown in the trailer below…
