Former HAVU member Olli “sLowi” Pitkänen and 17-year-old Otto “ottob” Virtanen have been recruited to round out the project, which is led in-game by former SJ captain Tony “arvid” Niemelä, who has already been playing alongside allu and Lasse “ZOREE” Uronen on temp.

JANO will debut at Assembly Summer

“Getting a professional organization around the team is a huge deal,” allu said in a press release. “Playing under JANO gives us a firm foundation and support network, which both are necessary for optimal team development.”

The roster is set to make its debut under the new banner at Assembly Summer 2022 in Helsinki, Finland, where they will face a number of their countrymen from KOVA, HAVU, and ENCE Academy.

“For us, there hasn’t been an offline event for a longer period,” Twista explained when asked about attending the LAN. “It’s a big deal to get back into the tournament environment with our team and compete against the Finns from other teams. It helps us to understand what is the current state of our team.

“We want to see similar performances from the players as seen in practices. If we can reach that level at the Assembly Summer 2022, we are satisfied.”

JANO will compete with the following lineup:

Finland Aleksi “allu” Jalli
Finland Lasse “ZOREE” Uronen
Finland Tony “arvid” Niemelä
Finland Olli “sLowi” Pitkänen
Finland Otto “ottob” Virtanen

Finland Slaava “Twista” Räsänen (coach)
