An Iron Man Game By EA Is Reportedly In The Works

Alongside various titles such as Black Panther, a single-player Apex Legends game, and more, EA is reportedly also working on a new Iron Man game.

The news of another Marvel single-player game comes via the most recent episode of Game Mess Mornings, which is hosted by journalist and industry insider, Jeff Grubb. During the episode, Grubb discusses EA’s focus on single-player games, as opposed to their usual live service titles. During the discussion, a list of EA’s upcoming games were mentioned, where Grubb says “[EA] are making that Black Panther game we talked about last week, and they’re making another Marvel game, that’s single-player.”

Grubb didn’t go on to discuss what exactly this single-player Marvel game would be, but fellow insider Tom Henderson did throw his hat into the mix on Twitter. In reply to Grubb’s statement, Henderson said he has “heard a few rumors that it’s Iron Man”. However, he does go on to state that he has never had anything concrete to report on, so it should be placed heavily under the rumor category for the time being.

Even if EA’s single-player Iron Man game doesn’t come to fruition, there’s still plenty of Marvel titles for fans to look forward to. Insomniac Games is currently hard at work on both Wolverine and Spider-Man 2, with the latter set to arrive sometime in 2023. But in terms of Marvel releases which are a little closer, Firaxis Games’ Midnight Suns is due to release on October 7th for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch, and PC.

Plus, just last week, Grubb also revealed that EA is hard at work on an open-world Black Panther game. The title is also rumored to be single-player and will focus on the titular character’s challenge of becoming the new Black Panther. But with development still reportedly in the early stages, fans shouldn’t expect any official news anytime soon.
