Control LTM

The limited-time game mode Control makes a return to the Apex battlegrounds. During Control’s first appearance during the Defiance event, it gained a lot of popularity amongst the Apex community. Previously Control was played on Hammond Labs on Olympus, and Barometer on Storm Point. This time around, during the Apex Legends Awakening Collection Event the map World’s Edge will be joining the rotation along with Olympus and Storm Point. There are also a few changes and tweaks to the return LTM.

  • Introduction of Ad Drones to Control for flavor & storytelling purposes. If the player wishes they can also shoot them.
  • Matchmaking improvement – To avoid imbalanced matches slots of missing players at the start of Control will be filled with new players.
  • Added tabs to the About screen. These tabs can be seen in the lobby and are accessible in Control matches. One of the new tabs has a breakdown of Rating values while the other tab has a breakdown of how the spawn system works.

Lifeline’s Clinic

This event’s Town Takeover goes to the Lifeline and her brand new clinic. In the center of Lifeline’s Clinic is the Med-bay. Within the floors of the med-bay is an automated healing system that closely resembles Lifeline’s healing ability.  If injured players can stand on top of the platform, a heal tether will activate and attach to them. If the Med-bay is charged, they will get continuous healing. Additionally, the Med-bay’s holo-displays will indicate if someone is healing, or if the Med-bay is recharging. Within the back of the room is an emergency platform that can be used to receive better loot. It can only be used once per game.

Lifeline Buffs

Lifeline receives a rather massive buff this update. Whether it was needed or not Lifeline mains will be happy to know all her abilities have been improved.

  • Combat Revive

Moved the revive cancel option from Lifeline to the player that’s getting revived.

  • D.O.C. Heal Drone

The healing pool increased from 150 to infinite (still lasts 20 seconds).
    Doubled the healing radius.’

  • Care Package

Cooldown reduced from 5 minutes to 3.5 minutes.

The weapon attachment panel now comes with a Shield Battery instead of two Shield Cells.

No blue beam on the initial drop (will still show up after the Care Package lands).

Valkyrie’s Heirloom

In the Apex Legends Awakening Collection Event, Valkyrie is in the spotlight this time around. Valkyrie is receiving her own heirloom weapon The Suzaku. The Suzaku is a silver spear. Just like in all the previous events, the featured cosmetic in this case The Suzaku can be obtained by purchasing all 24 cosmetics in the Awakening Collection Event. It can also be obtained by purchasing it directly from the Mythic Store with Heirloom Shards once the event has concluded.

Featured Store
