CHAOS;HEAD NOAH Remake Releases On Steam This October

Chaos;Head Noah is the gateway fans have been waiting for for years, both dedicated and new. This game lays the groundwork and lore for the rest of the mega-popular Science Adventure ‘SciAdv’ Series (Steins;Gate, Chaos;Child, etc..). However, and weirdly enough, it has never received a proper localization for more than 13 years, despite how integral it was to the overall narrative, until this October that is.

In the past, fans had to make do with the sequel: Chaos;Child, which was released on Steam back in 2019. This visual novel, despite acting as a thematic stand-alone sequel story to the original Chaos;Head (and a very emotional one), depended heavily on the context established in the original game.

Furthermore, Chaos;Head Noah, the enhanced remake released one year after the original, contained a lot of important revelations never before told about the true nature of the main antagonist (Committee of 300). Multiple character backgrounds were also explored in newly added endings.

Many should have heard about Steins;Gate, one of the most popular anime adaptions of the last decade, but Chaos;Head (from the same developer) is not any less amazing, especially in the Sci-fi department. Both Chaos; entries employ a very unique storytelling system called the ‘Delusion Trigger’. While utilizing this system, inspired by a worldview based on brain science and quantum theory, the main characters will be involved in a global psycho-suspense conspiracy story, and will rely on these otherworldly delusions to discover the real truth of Shibuya, Tokyo.

The steam version of Chaos;Head Noah is scheduled for release on Saturday, October 7, 2022 on PC via Steam. This will coincide along with the western release of the Chaos;Head Noah/Chaos;Child Double Pack on the same day for Nintendo Switch.

Chaos;Child is basically unchanged, but Noah will include remastered movies and CGs in 1080p quality. The engine has also been upgraded, and new songs have been made exclusively for this new port. Getting into the new narrative content would be a spoiler, but let’s say there is something for every type of SciAdv fan, even those who are waiting for the upcoming Anonymous;Code.

The SteelBook Launch Edition also includes exclusive art drawn by the character designer Mutsumi Sasaki and bonus Costume DLCs for CHAOS;HEAD NOAH, though one of these costumes will not come over to the NA/EU release. If readers have gotten a newfound interest in the Science Adventure series from reading this article (Which they should!), there is no better place nor time to start than here. The price of the steam version is yet to be determined, but the double pack is set at $49.99 for both games. At this price, it’s a catch players will never regret.
