Coritiba and rock-bottom Frotaleza will battle it out for three valuable points at Estadio Couto Pereira on Monday, with the two teams being Campeonato Brasileiro Serie A strugglers.

The hosts have lost their last four matches to sink down the league standings, while Fortaleza arrive in Parana having improved their chances of Copa Libertadores progress in midweek.

Gustavo Morinigo’s side are particularly brittle in fixtures outside their own headquartes, and have failed to record a single away win so far, but four victories from seven at home sets them up for Sunday’s contest, as they seek to stop an alarming dip in results.

Gustavo Morinigo is set to be without winger Igor Paixao for Sunday’s game, as the 22-year-old is suspended alongside left-back Guilherme Biro.
