Championship outfit Swansea City continue their preparations for the 2022-23 campaign at they take on League One side Plymouth Argyle at the Home Park on Tuesday.
The visitors head into the contest unbeaten in each of their last five matches against the Pilgrims since 2008, claiming four wins and one draw in that period.
After an impressive run in the 2021-22 League One campaign, Plymouth Argyle ran out of steam at the business end of the season at the failed to win any of their final five league matches.
Plymouth Argyle missed out on the playoffd by just three points after picking up 80 points from 46 matches to finish seventh, just below sixth-placed Wycombe Wanderers in the final playoff spot.
While the Pilgrims will look to get back on track and prepare for the upcoming campaign, they could only salvage a 2-2 draw against Plymouth Parkway in their opening pre-season game on Saturday.
Steven Schumacher’s side will be looking to end their six-game winless run, but up next is an opposing side who they have failed to defeat in five consecutive attempts, dating back to a 1-0 victory back in 2002.
Meanwhile, Swansea City went through a dreadful run in the Championship last season, picking up 61 points from 46 matches to finish 15th in the league standings.
As Rusell Martin’s side continued their preparation for the upcoming campaign, they managed to pick up a hard-fought 3-2 victory over Forest Green Rovers on Saturday behind closed doors.
The Swans had previously began their preparations for the 2022-23 Championship campaign with an excellent 7-0 victory over Haverfordwest County on July 1, before holding out for a 2-2 draw with Colchester United four days later.
Swansea begin their league campaign against Rotherham United on July 30, while Plymouth host Barnsley on the opening day.

Jeffery Forkuo was a standout performer for Plymouth in the draw against Plymouth Parkway and he could be handed a place in the starting XI on Tuesday.
