Falcons bench Maka

Falcons are set for changes after their unsuccessful campaign in the IEM Road to Rio European RMR.

Falcons have placed their Bryan “Maka” Canda on the bench, the Saudi Arabian organization has announced via Twitter. The AWPer steps aside after having represented the team for the past eight months.

Spending the last three months on the sidelines due to a hand injury, Jayson “Kyojin” Nguyen Van will return to the lineup as a substitute while the team “assesses the AWP role and future roster.”

Falcons are set to undergo their third change in less than three months

Changes in the French side come after they failed to qualify for the IEM Rio Major earlier this month. Falcons exited the Europe RMR B tournament in 9th-11th place after losing to Outsiders in the spot-deciding match in the 2-2 pool.

It marks their third roster change in just over two months. In the middle of August, Falcons made waves with the signings of veteran Nathan “NBK-” Schmitt from MOUZ, who was brought on to take over in-game leadership, and former Vitality member Kévin “misutaaa” Rabier.

Shortly following the changes the team managed to qualify for IEM Road to Rio with wins over fnatic and OG, but since haven’t been able to replicate that success against teams of that caliber. After they bowed out of the Major-qualifying event with losses to ENCE, OG, and Outsiders, they went out in 7th-8th place in ESL Challenger League Season 42 and in 9th-16th place of CCT South Europe Series 1.

Falcons will play with the following roster while they assess options for their future roster and new AWPer:

France Ali “hAdji” Haïnouss
France Jordan “Python” Munck-Foehrle
France Nathan “NBK-” Schmitt
France Kévin “misutaaa” Rabier
France Jayson “Kyojin” Nguyen Van (substitute)

France Steeve “Ozstrik3r” Flavigni (coach)
