Halo Infinite PC System Requirements – minimum and recommended specs

Halo Infinite Multiplayer just launched today, leading to a rush to download the game on PC and consoles. Players all over the globe are rushing to play. PC gamers have a bit more to think about though, as they have to make sure their rigs can run the game.

The FPS genre has long been known for fast-paced action. And when you’re getting the timing for that shot down to the milliseconds, frames matter. You need to keep your hand steady and new data coming in. If your gear is busy drawing jittery frames while you’re getting shot at, you’re not going to have fun. It is definitely time for a CPU or GPU upgrade if you’re after that ideal gaming experience.

On the GPU side, given the current market, an upgrade is hard to get. Getting a good FPS is excellent when it comes to shooter games. This franchise lives or dies by the multiplayer, so many players strive to get maximum FPS and view distance on maps. That’s where things like Video RAM come into play. You need at least 4 GB VRAM to run this game at all. And the speed of the core clocks definitely matters. Anything older than the GPUs listed below will be too low-end to run Halo Infinite.

Minimum Halo Infinite System Requirements

  • OS: Windows 10 RS5 x64
  • Processor: AMD Ryzen 5 1600 or Intel i5-4440
  • Memory: 8 GB RAM
  • GPU: AMD RX 570 or Nvidia GTX 1050 Ti
  • DirectX: Version 12
  • Storage: 50 GB available space

And then there’s the actual intended experience. You are meant to run the game as close to a consistent frame time and 60 FPS as you can. That’s where the Halo Infinite recommended specs come in.

Recommended Halo Infinite System Requirements

For the more modern rig, the plight of humanity and the Spartans is a lot easier to run. Even with the nightmare that is GPU shopping in 2021, it should be easy to get a consistent 1080p 60+ FPS on most rigs. Ryzen CPUs are much easier to get in 2021 than the newest intel 12th Generation. So go for an older Ryzen 3000-series and you should be fine. Older Intel GPUs that are equivalent to the Ryzen 7 series from the last couple of years should work. You may also want to consider cooling, as an overclock can definitely help a lower-end CPU keep up.

  • OS: Windows 10 19H2 x64
  • Processor: AMD Ryzen 7 3700X or Intel i7-9700k
  • Memory: 16 GB RAM
  • Graphics: Radeon RX 5700 XT or Nvidia RTX 2070
  • DirectX: Version 12
  • Storage: 50 GB available space

So that’s what you need to run the game at its best.
