Forza Horizon 5 is a brilliant game. Surely everyone knows that by now. But what makes it even better is playing it with your friends.
Letting you loose in a stunning recreation of Mexico, Forza Horizon 5 is filled with races to complete and activities to engage in. Though just driving around is also a great deal of fun. You could say that it’s made with multiplayer in mind, given that you can see the ghosts of other players driving around and can challenge them at will. And so that makes playing the game in co-op with your friends make even more sense.
To play Forza Horizon 5 with your friends, you essentially need to form a convoy. To do that, whoever you designate as the leader first needs to press the menu button on their controller, then use the left and right shoulder buttons to navigate to the Online tab. In there, they should then select the ‘Convoy’ option.

In the Convoy menu, the leader should then press the Y button to manage the convoy. A box should pop up with multiple options; to play with friends, the “Invite Friends” option should be selected. On the next screen, the leader is then able to select the friends they wish to play with before finally inviting them to their convoy.
When players are in a convoy, they all exist in the same world. Additionally, they cease being ghosts to each other, allowing for some real bumper-to-bumper action. They can drive around and do their own thing, but when it comes to events, the convoy leader is in charge. When the leader is setting up events, they’ll be asked if they want to play in co-op or PvP, and upon making their selection the other players in the convoy will pre prompted to join.
Ultimately, then, playing Forza Horizon 5 with friends is easy. And it makes for a much more enjoyable experience. Be sure to give it a try.
