K1ck Esports Apex Legends team released

With a break in competitive action before the Apex Legends Global Series (ALGS) Championship, teams are taking the opportunity to make changes. After supporting a roster for over three years, K1ck Esports Apex Legends parted ways with their team.

K1ck announced the move Monday on Twitter. The organization said, “The time has come for #K1CK and the #ApexLegends team to go separate ways. Thanks boys and good luck in the future!”

The decision comes after the squad of Svyatoslav “Orjein” Korochinsky, Jose “Uxako” Llosa, and Filipe “Hiarka” Morgado narrowly missed qualifying for the major international ALGS Championship. During the May qualifier where the top two teams advanced, K1ck finished third behind Scarz and Zeta Division.

K1ck performed well earlier this year, finishing third in the EMEA Pro League, but faltered on LAN. At the Stockholm playoffs, the team failed to make the finals lobby and ended twenty-second. Despite those shortcomings, the roster is a talented bunch and will continue to compete together in one of the toughest regions.

Other notable results for the organization include third in the 2020 Summer Circuit, sixth in the 2019 GLL Apex Legends Series, and eighteenth at the 2019 Preseason Invitational in Krakow, Poland.

After the K1ck Esports Apex Legends team was released, the big question is where the players will go next. A few weeks earlier all three players tweeted an emoji of a ninja. Fans are speculating that the cryptic posts hint at the trio joining renowned esports organization Ninjas in Pyjamas.
