KT Rolster had THE hardest road so far. They are the only team that didn’t face a Western squad or GAM Esports, who are considered much easier opponents than the LCK and LPL teams. Still, KT Rolster held on, winning 2 out of their 4 matches.

They started out with an incredibly tough battle against Bilibili Gaming, but despite the team’s best efforst and Cuzz’s Zac pick, they couldn’t overcome them. Afterwards, they rolled over Deft and Dplus KIA in their first match, then had a slow and grindy victory against Weibo Gaming. They were doing fine against LNG Esports up until the 3^rd match, as the Korean 3^rd seed crumbled under the pressure the LPL team put on them. But there’s still one chance left!

Dplus KIA

3 former world champions, but so far, Dplus KIA wasn’t able to accumulate 3 victories to qualify for Knockouts. They lost their first 2 matches against G2 Esports and KT Rolster respectively, which pushed them to the edge of elimination.

ShowMaker and co. stepped up immensely under pressure, as they bounced back with two 2-0 wins against Team BDS, then against GAM Esports. While these teams were not as highly seeded as their previous opponents, Dplus KIA might gained enough momentum and confidence to take down their compatriots to get to Knockouts.

The first bout between KT Rolster and Dplus KIA went in the favour of the 3^rd LCK seed by quite a huge margin. Aiming and co. got the First Blood and First Tower of the match, as well as a 10k gold lead by the time the Nexus crumbled. The player mentioned above also finished 9/0/6, showcasing an incredible performance.

Of course, DK didn’t help themselves with their draft, but it’s now or never. They need to be on top of their game in every sense, and Deft has to step up if they want to stop Aiming and Leheds, who are the biggest carries on KT Rolster.
