Marvel’s Midnight Suns Delayed to Fiscal Year 2023 on Xbox Series X/S, PS5, and PC

Marvel’s Midnight Suns has been delayed again from October 7th to some time in fiscal year 2023 for Xbox Series X/S, PS5, and PC. While it could still launch this year, it may even arrive by March 2023 (which is the end of the fiscal year). Take-Two Interactive revealed the delay in its Q1 FY 2023 earnings report.

Interestingly, this new release window only applies to the current-gen and PC versions. The Xbox One, PS4 and Nintendo Switch versions have a release window of “TBA,” which means they could even arrive after fiscal year 2023. IGN spoke to Take-Two CEO Strauss Zelnick who noted that this delay was because of a “search for quality, and a great deal of confidence that we have a wonderful title on our hands and we want to make sure it’s as good as it can possibly be.”

Is there any possibility of the tactical RPG being delayed again? Zelnick responded, “I’m not concerned about that.” He also added that some other titles have moved “within the year” and impacted the company’s financials. The titles in question weren’t named.

As such, Firaxis has been regularly releasing videos showcasing each hero’s backstory and abilities. The latest focused on Carol Danvers aka Captain Marvel. Stay tuned for more details and updates on the title in the coming months along with a new release date.
