Monster Hunter Now Builds – Setups For Every Weapon! – Droid Gamers

Not sure which weapon to prioritise in Monster Hunter Now? Well, this Monster Hunter Builds guide is here to help you. In this guide, I’m going to round up all of the individual weapon builds we have written so far. I’ll include a link to all of them, and detail the weapon’s playing style so you can use this guide to help you determine how you want to play. I’ll also update this guide whenever a new weapon gets introduced, so I recommend bookmarking it and checking back often.

Monster Hunter Now is the latest location-based game by Niantic, the maker of Pokémon GO and Pikmin Bloom. You explore your neighbourhood, battling monsters and looting them for materials. You then craft new weapons and armour that you can use to take on even more powerful monsters. If you like multiplayer games, it’s a great choice as you can play with your friends in person.

You can grab Monster Hunter Now on Google Play. We’ve also got a Monster Hunter Now codes guide, Monster Hunter Now block guide, and Monster Hunter Now drop rates.

Monster Hunter Now Builds

Now, let’s take a look at all of our Monster Hunter Now builds, along with detailed descriptions of how they work.

Sword and Shield Build

Our Sword and Shield build focuses on improving your blocking ability, allowing you to gain a solid attack boost from Offensive Guard. In fact, we aim to boost your attack as much as possible from all sources, including critical hits, elemental attacks, and while at low HP.

The Sword and Shield is a versatile weapon that deals a decent amount of damage in the right hands.

Great Sword Build

The Great Sword is a very slow weapon that focuses on huge damage numbers with each blow, and severing ability. It’s a great weapon for those that like breaking monster parts, and picking the right moment to attack.

Our build boosts the already great attack potential of this weapon type, and its ability to break monster parts.

Hammer Build

The Hammer is similar to the Great Sword, though with the ability to stun. It’s a blunt weapon, which means it has great breaking potential too, though it will struggle to sever parts like tails. It’s equally hard-hitting though, and favours a patient playstyle.

Our build aims to boost the breaking potential of this weapon, your ability to stun, and, of course, your damage as much as possible.

Long Sword Build

The Long Sword is the combo specialist. It’s a huge weapon that attacks fast for its size, and can unleash huge combos thanks in part to the Spirit Gauge. This fills as you attack, and unlocks super powerful attacks when full.

Our Long Sword build leans heavily into the Spirit Gauge feature, improving your ability to combo, dodge, and increase your damage.

Bow Build

The Bow deals fast attacks, and you can aim exactly where they land. If you like targeting specific monster parts, it’s great at that. The damage of each individual shot might not be anything to write home about, but when you’re firing them off at this pace it quickly adds up.

Our Bow build focuses on improving your dodges, elemental attacks, and criticals so you can take monsters down as quickly, and safely, as possible.

Light Bowgun Build

The Light Bowgun allows you to attack from a distance with a wide variety of elemental bullets. It’s a very versatile weapon that has a ton of build options ahead of it.

We focused on improving its recoil, reload speed, and damage. The damage sources are very varied, including criticals, elemental attacks, and special attacks. We leave a little bit of room in our build for you to customise it according to your desired playstyle.
