NASCAR Odds and Betting: Bank of America ROVAL 400

The NASCAR Cup Series playoffs move to Charlotte Motor Speedway, as the drivers will hit the road course in this week’s Bank of America ROVAL 400. Chase Elliott won the YellaWood 500 at Talladega Superspeedway last Sunday. Elliott moved from the bottom lane to the top lane with two laps remaining and took a push from Erik Jones. That gave him the momentum to pass Ryan Blaney in the last lap and win by 0.046 seconds. Michael McDowell, Ross Chastain and Denny Hamlin rounded out the top five. Elliott now has an automatic berth in the Round of 8. This week’s race starts on Sunday at 2:00 pm ET, and you can catch the broadcast on NBC or listen on the SiriusXM app. Don’t do any NASCAR betting on this race until you review the odds and read our suggestions.

Chase Elliott is the #1 road racer in all of NASCAR right now, and he’s driving for Hendrick, which is the best road course stock car manufacturer. Since he is already in the Round of 8, Elliott can also push hard for the win and not worry about stage points.

Tyler Reddick won on the road courses at Road America and Indianapolis. He won already in the Round of 12, at Texas Motor Speedway, so he can also pursue an aggressive series of tactics to get the win. He was the runner-up at the Roval in 2021.

Kyle Larson used up Chase Elliott to get the win on the road course at Watkins Glen. Will Elliott get revenge here? It is a cut race, and the two are teammates, so you hope they would be a little more cooperative.

Michael McDowell has finished no worse than 13th on road courses this year. The other four finishers were eighth (twice), sixth and third. He has experience on road courses and has been a featured driver in each race. Here, he offers a good bit of value.

A.J. Allmendinger is racing in both the Xfinity Series and Cup Series playoff races this weekend, and he could sweep both evnts. He won on the Indianapolis road course last year in a car with Kaulig Racing and could win both this weekend.

Austin Cindric has been road racing since his early years, and in 2022, his Dietrich Data score, which synthesizes all the laps a driver completes, ranks fourth from the five road course races this year.

Ryan Blaney got lucky to win the first Roval race, but the fact that he was in third place to take advantage of the chaos was not a fluke. He was in the top 11 for the first three road races of 2022.

Ross Chastain and Daniel Suarez have advanced in road race competitions since moving to the TrackHouse cars. Suarez won at Sonoma, and it seems like Chastain is right there at the end each week.

Kyle Busch is eliminated from the playoffs, so expect him to pit cycle early near the end of each stage, so he can lead laps…and snatch a win.
