Nitr0 Reportedly Considering a Comeback to CS:GO Esports

Nicholas Cannella, also known as nitr0, has reportedly been thinking about returning to CS:GO esports, leaving behind 100 Thieves and the VALORANT scene.

2021 has been rough with 100 Thieves, especially with such a disappointing result at VCT Masters Berlin. Over the past six months, teams like Cloud9 Blue, Team Envy, or Sentinels have defeated 100T in every high-profile event. 100 Thieves’ recent performances might have pushed nitr0 to think about leaving.

Nitr0 Back to CS:GO?

What fueled the rumors about a potential comeback was nitr0’s FACEIT history. Playing with his former teammates in Team Liquid’s Jonathan “EliGE” Jablonowski, nitr0 faced numeral fans, who instantly started speculating. The American player would have also joked about being Team Liquid’s next savior.

Winner of the Intel Grand Slam, nitr0 left his mark on the CS:GO esports scene. A comeback will be huge, explaining why even simple rumors broke the news. Although it could be nothing but a break from VALORANT, seeing nitr0 take back his in-game leader spot in Team Liquid, in which he had seen countless success, is bound to make a lot of fans happy.

VALORANT

Rumors are also legion regarding the 100 Thieves roster. A report hinted at the release of head coach Hector “FrosT” Rosario from the roster. The third place at the VCT North American Last Chance Qualifier would be the main reason behind this move. He had been the team’s head coach for less than a year, taking over from the analyst role at the time.

Nitr0 leaving VALORANT behind

100 Thieves will now focus its energy on Spencer “Hiko” Martin, Peter “Asuna” Mazuryk, and Ethan “Ethan” Arnold. If nitr0 finally decides to leave VALORANT altogether, the team will of course be on the lookout for a new team leader. Fans should be ready to see a lineup with this trio, but with a brand new team leader and dynamic.
