The champions return with the aim set on another ESL trophy.

ESL One Malaysia 2022 is bound to be the first LAN tournament outside of the Dota Pro Circuit this year and the first LAN held in Malaysia since late 2019.

Scheduled to run between August 23-28 at the Arena of Stars in Resorts World Genting, the tourney will also mark the first opportunity for Southeast Asia Dota 2 fans to see their idols playing on stage before TI11, which will come to Singapore in October.

OG, recent ESL One Stockholm Major champions, are opening the direct invites list and will be followed by six other teams that will be revealed by ESL Gaming in the coming days.

A total of 12 teams will head to Genting this August to fight for the title and a share of the $400,000 prize pool. Seven will receive direct invites from the tournament organizer and the other five competitors will earn their spot through regional qualifiers.
