Pokemon Go July Spotlight Hour: Meditite Shiny Status, Bonuses & More

The month of July is coming to an end and we have one more Spotlight hour before a new set of events arrive in Pokemon Go.

For the last Spotlight Hour of July players will be getting Meditite as the featured Pokemon. The event kicks off at 6 pm and will be lasting for an hour. This event runs starts at the local time which means that players in some regions like New Zealand will be getting it before than others. For the hour the event lasts, Meditite will be appearing more often in the wild. Fans were a tad disappointed after last week’s offerings, but Niantic has a new Pokemon for players this week. Many might not own the Pokemon, so it is a great opportunity for players to add it to your collection.

When it comes to the bonuses for this week, players will be getting twice the amount of XP they usually get. If you want to level up fast, this is a good opportunity to use your Pokemon candies. As usual, this is not just restricted to the featured Pokemon, so you can evolve any Pokemon and still get the bonuses.

Last but not the least, as far as the shiny status of the Pokemon is concerned, a shiny version of Meditite does indeed exist in the game. It is quite easy to spot a shiny Meditite in the wild, as it has a red appearance as compared to the blue appearance of the regular variant.
