Ragnarok Origin classes – thief, mage, archer, and more

Ragnarok Origin is the mobile version of the long-standing MMORPG Ragnarok Online. It tasks you with becoming a hero in a huge open world, filled to the brim with varying environments, including kingdoms, dungeons, and lush landscapes. Naturally, the world is full of different characters and monsters – sometimes, the line between the two becomes blurred.

As with any MMORPG, there are a number of routes for you to take, and our Ragnarok Origin classes guide covers them all. For example, if you want to poke people with a sword, become a swordsman. Want to throw spells at people? Embrace your inner mage. Or, if you fancy yourself as a bit of a troublemaker, why not become a thief – let’s be honest, rules are made to be broken.

Without further ado, here are the available Ragnarok Origins classes, also known as Ragnarok Origins jobs.

Ragnarok Origin classes

Ragnarok Origins Swordsman

Unsurprisingly, this class is known for resilience, as well as getting up close and personal with their opponents in melee combat. Their job is simple, fight on the front lines, be the first form of defence, and protect the other damage dealers.

The line of progression is:

  • Knight – this becomes available at base level 40
  • Crusader – you can take this job at base level 70

Ragnarok Origins magician

The name of this class might give away what they do. Magician’s cast magic, utilising various elements to deliver mass destruction. As much fun as this sounds, it’s important to remember that people tend to get squashed in this line of work. Magicians have pretty low defence, so be sure to keep your distance and inflict pain from afar.

The line of progression is:

  • Wizard – this becomes available at level 40
  • Sage – become a wise one at level 70

Ragnarok Origins acolyte

In Ragnarok Origins, acolytes are known as the speakers of god. If you need a good cleansing, these are the people to go to. Acolytes can cleanse the undead, heal fallen brethren, and provide buffs and other useful benefits to those around them, so be nice to them!

The line of progression is:

  • Priest – you unlock this job at level 40
  • Monk – the vow of silence is bestowed upon you at level 70

Ragnarok Origins thief

With a name like this, it’s a total mystery what this class specialises in. The enemy had best watch their backs with thieves around. They are adept when it comes to stealth and hit their mark with deadly precision at close range.

The line of progression is:

  • Assassin – this job is available at level 40, and remember, the better the assassin, the closer they get before you know they’re near.
  • Rogue – become a loveable rogue at level 70

Ragnarok Origins Archer

May your arrows strike fast and true. Archers are fast and mobile, choosing to attack from a range. Due to their lay of the land, they are indispensable when it comes to crowd control. For your sake, we hope you have an archer on your side.

The line of progression is:

  • Hunter – enjoy the hunt at level 40
  • Dancer – move with beauty and grace from level 70

Ragnarok Origins merchant

It’s just business, right? This job involves you buying items for peanuts and selling them off at prices that are frankly extortionate.

The line of progression is:

  • Blacksmith – start selling weapons at level 40
  • Alchemist – try not to blow yourself up after level 70
