The first thing we want to discuss in this Roobet Cup 2023 review is that this tournament is organized by a very popular betting company. Unlike IEM Sydney 2023, this tournament will be in an online format, and it will be based in Europe.

Roobet Cup 2023 will include a total of 16 teams, and the event will start on October 25. The Grand Final will be on 2 November, and it will be in a Bo3 format, similar to the other matches in the Playoffs. Speaking of the devil, the Playoffs will be in a single-elimination bracket. In terms of the Group Stage, it will include 4x GSL groups of 4 teams, where they will play in a Bo3 format.

Roobet Cup 2023 Review – Prize Pool

Normally, when people hear about a CS2 tournament that will be held online, they do not expect a large prize pool. Even though the prize of the Roobet Cup 2023 is not as big as the one of IEM Sydney 2023, some of the best EU teams will compete for a $250K reward. Here is the distribution:

  • 1st Place – $150K
  • 2nd Place – $50K
  • 3rd-4th – $15K
  • 5th-8th – $5K

Participants and Groups

As mentioned, Roobet Cup 2023 will be an online tournament where we will have 4 groups. Each one will contain a total of 4 teams, so let’s learn more about the names that ended up in them.

Group A

The first group at Roobet Cup 2023 consists of the following 4 teams:

  • Aurora Gaming
  • Eternal Fire
  • FURIA Esports
  • Heroic

Even though the group has some interesting names, there is no arguing that Heroic and FURIA Esports are the two big players. Everything is possible in the competitive CS2 scene, but unless these two teams make a major mistake, they should be able to advance to the Playoffs. Keep in mind that only 2 teams will leave the groups because the squad that finishes last and second last will be eliminated.

Group B

The second Group of Roobet Cup 2023 is also intriguing because it will include these squads:

  • 9z Team
  • Virtus.Pro
  • Team Spirit
  • Moviestar Riders

Similar to the situation in the first group, two teams here are definitely better than the rest – VP and Team Spirit. We are yet to see them win a big tournament in 2023, meaning they could step up their game in this competition.

Group C

If you want to pay closer attention to Group C, you will find the likes of:

  • 9INE
  • Apeks
  • BIG
  • Astralis

This is probably one of the most interesting groups at the Roobet Cup 2023 because there are 3 teams that will do everything they can to advance to the next stage. Of course, most people can agree that Astralis is the biggest squad here, and it will most likely have little to no problems advancing to the event’s next stage.

Group D

The last group at Roober Cup 2023 will also include 4 teams:

  • OG
  • Monte
  • Fnatic
  • Ninjas in Pyjamas

Predicting who’s finishing first and last in Group D will be easier said than done. We believe that Fnatic definitely has a better chance than the rest to secure the first place, and Monte seems to be the underdog. However, we are yet to see what’s going to happen because CS2 is a game where we can always see surprising results.

Where to watch the Roobet Cup 2023?

Like any other big Counter-Strike 2 event, this one will be broadcast live on Twitch. Interestingly, there will be two different live streams, both of which are in English. Unfortunately, you won’t find any official streams in other languages.
