sdy set to play for NAVI at IEM Cologne

Viktor “sdy” Orudzhev will close out the first half of the season for Natus Vincere as he is set to once again play for them at IEM Cologne, returning as the team’s fifth player after helping them secure victory at the BLAST Premier Spring Final.

Ahead of the BLAST event, Natus Vincere had stated that whether sdy would have the opportunity to continue competing with them in the future would depend on his performance in Portugal, something which Aleksandr “s1mple” Kostyliev praised in an interview with HLTV after lifting the trophy.

sdy will don the black and yellow jersey again for Cologne

“I hope [sdy] will play in Cologne,” the Ukrainian superstar had said. “I think he played really great. He had a lot of key rounds against OG and against Vitality today, a lot of multi-kills. He is a really calm guy and he is ready to learn, he knows how to listen to other people.”

Those hopes have come to fruition as NAVI have announced sdy‘s return for the Cologne event, tiding them over into the off-season where they will have the ability to take time and fully assess their options for their final lineup.

The event will truly test the 25-year-old’s mettle under the NAVI banner as the main stage already features seven of the world’s top ten teams, and with the Play-In included, has 18 out of 20 of the best teams in the world attending.

NAVI will use the following roster in Cologne:

Ukraine Aleksandr “s1mple” Kostyliev
Russia Denis “electroNic” Sharipov
Russia Ilya “Perfecto” Zalutskiy
Ukraine Valeriy “b1t” Vakhovskiy
Ukraine Viktor “sdy” Orudzhev

Ukraine Andrey “B1ad3” Gorodenskiy (coach)
